Our Dyes & Supplies

Dyes

We use premium, non-toxic, professional grade Procion Fiber Reactive Dyes. These dyes create bonds with the fiber of the fabric, creating permanent, vibrant colors. Soda ash is always included somewhere in the dying process to prepare the fibers of your fabric to better absorb dyes and therefore produce brighter results

Techniques Used

Liquid Dye
HWI (Hot Water Irrigation)
Ice Dye
My personal preference for dying. Ice dying creates unique color splits and bleeds as the ice melts- dissolving the dye powders and slowly saturating the fabric.

Shirts

Before dying myself, all of my tie dye tees (as awesome as they were) had a heavy, stiff feeling-no matter how many times I would wash them. When I was choosing the shirts I wanted to create on- I sought out the opposite feel.
Unless noted otherwise, we use Gildan Unisex Soft style 4.5 oz. T-Shirts made of 100% preshrunk ring spun cotton. These shirts are lighter weight and have a smooth, soft feel to them. Shirts do run small to size therefore I recommend ordering a size up for a more comfortable fit.

What to Know

One of the many marvels of handmade tie dye is each piece of work is unique. Unlike prints, the design can not be truly copied & pasted thus ensuring what you receive will be sincerely one-of-a-kind.

If you purchase a tie-dye item that offers more than one variant, such as size- You will be receiving a product created in the same style, with the same color(s) and technique(s) used the in the listing photo.
